Here's the problem: I do not have MAP files for the Git-builds. But without them I cannot track down the crash address. I cannot create those files because they are being built with a compiler which I do not have.

Can you please retry with the last official release?

I was asking for 2.0.03, but if it also crashes in 1.8.7 it's at least not something specific to the 2.x code. I do have a map file for that one.

Can you give me a link to that map? Searching for 'genetech' in /idgames doesn't produce any result.

You need to give me something more precise. How long did you play? Does it happen in roughly the same place, or if you do some specific action. So far I haven't managed to make it crash.

Your crashreport says that you played a pwad named njbs.pk3, however, the latest pwad uploaded by Enjay is njgtb4ts.pk3.
From his Gene-Tech thread I take it that he's been fixing bugs as they were discovered.
Give njgtb4ts.pk3 a try.

The file I uploaded has never been called njbs.pk3. However, I think the number of lumps is correct so I guess it was just renamed. I have uploaded a few revisions thanks to people's feedback, however. The file info.txt in the 7z says which release it is. The current one is #5.

Most of the changes have been minor. However, there was a decorate bug a few versions ago where I missed a "Stop" off a couple of actors. It only caused a visual glitch according to my experience and the reports I received but perhaps that was responsible? The other changes were mostly just minor edits and unlikely to relate to crashing.

There's something very fishy here. The bug is an integer overflow while calculating some slope related position. I have to admit I have absolutely no idea how such a thing can even happen...

Integer overflows simply cannot happen in compiled C code unless there's a deeper problem.
So, sorry, I have no idea what's wrong and how to address it.
