[works for me]Resolved Bug Not Fixed - Found New Related Bug

Post by Deathlike2 »

This bug hasn't been fixed in 0.9.20...
http://forum.drdteam.org/viewtopic.php?t=910

A related bug:
This also occurs in Hexen with the "chicken beak" weapon.

A non-related question:
Is there supposed to be an item count in the alternative HUD? If there is, I cannot see it (it seems to default to off when you use a fresh copy of GZDoom). If it exists, how do you toggle it (and perhaps make it toggleable in GZDoom's options)?

Works for me.

As for the item count, it is there for me as well. Maybe it was fixed with one of the initial ZIP related bugs.

I just downloaded it hours ago...

I do a clean install of GZDoom all the time (well, it just involves deleting the .ini file and overwriting all the existing GZDoom files)

Doom missing item count bug in 0.9.20 (missing in Heretic and/or Hexen as well):

I've just noticed this...

By default, when the .ini file is created, these settings/variables for all supported Doom-engine games are set to these defaults...

hud_showstats=false - seems to be useful to Strife (it is not enabled in Strife by default apparently)
hud_showitems=false <---- what I'm referring to

Oh, you mean that item count...

As for Strife, I'd activate 'hud _showstats' by default if I understood Randy's config parser well enough. Unfortunately I haven't found a way yet to make it work reliably.

As for the morph weapon bug, I looked when I fixed it. Turned out it was half an hour after I released 0.9.20...

You can't understand that? OMG! Stop the presses! Reprint todays newspaper! :P
Just kidding. You've done a crapload for the doom comunity. And i'm also happy to see the bug i found refrenced in this post too.

By the way, can you go back to updating the news form, so that my RSS feed in Firefox updates? I clicked the download link in the form topic, and found that 20 was out. The feed says you're still on .18.

I'll make a news entry when I release .21. I hope I manage tomorrow but there's one critical bug left to fix.

Which critical bug are you referring to? Is it the textures fix?

No. It's not from the bug forum. I get a crash with a certain level that worked before so I'll have to find and fix. it.

That's good news. The texture offset bug has been getting in the way of some of the stuff I've been trying to do.
