Hi, I don't know if this is still in active development or not, but I wish to contribute somehow to this awesome revival of HacX, since I'm not a very good mapper I guess I could only collaborate on graphical stuff. 
I have been working on something that could be an interesting improvement, making the weapons animation more fluid (same thing I did for Doom here). 
I made an unpolished test wad as a proof of concept:

The wad contains modified DECORATE lines and extra (and edited) frames for:
-Kick
-Reznator
-Pistol
-Tazer
-Stick
-Nuker

Pistol rounds start off at 0 and can't pick up anymore, as in stays at 0 permanently.

Well, this was more of a proof of concept than a finished mod, I don't even know if newer versions of ZDoom or their successors run the wad as when I made it.
