MD2 limitations

I have to work with MD2 because there aren't any decent free software to work directly with MD3 files. :/

So anyway, I'm just wondering... Graf do you know if the MD2 models that GZDoom loads have a limit of 4096 triangles?

What about other limits I need to be aware of?

I don't impose any limits myself so as long as the format can handle it it should work.
