Project Name: Marine Uprising

Basic Info: This is going to be a weapons\enemy PC. No levels will be changed. Also, this is my first major wad project, so it won't be on par with sliced bread. Updates will be on an "I did something!" basis.

Port: Zdoom

Primary Script: Decorate

Story: You are an average citizen, just home from work, until you turn on the news. The leading story is that Space Marines are uprising, for no specific reason. You, the paranoid apocolyptic type of guy, grab your pistol, and resolve to find the reason.

Weapon Replacement:

Fist: Same

Chainsaw: Gernades

Pistol: Same

Shotgun: 10 GA Double-barreled: Using original SSG graphics, fires one barrel at a time. (NOTE: Not rippled from Immoral Conduct.)

SSG: Rifle: M1 Garand from Captain Red's M1: Adding a frame for character working the bolt.

Chaingun: Assault Rifle: Strife's assault rifle, with Doomguy's hands, rotated to the right.
EDIT: The only thing wrong here is the assault gun graphics don't really fit the "realness" of this wad. If anyone can recomend some sprites, please tell me.

Rocket Launcher: Poison Crosbow: From Strife, changing the bolt to have a little green goo on it. Quiver also from Strife.

Plasma Gun: Flame Thrower: From Scuba Steve, not many changes here.

BFG 9k: Charing Railgun: BFG10k from Skulltag.

Gernades, and possibly camo suits will be thrown in.

Once I get the monsters\marines done, I'll edit the post and list them.

Sounds pretty interesting. I like the more "realistic" arsenal you have going there. Instead of leaving the pistol and fist the same, maybe you could spice them up a bit? Like, you can use the default pistol graphics, but say you make them more animated or add a reload state. I'm frankly sick of the default weapons, to be honest, and it would feel more complete if you atleast modified the fist and pistol enough to be a little different. This is your mod, though, so do what you want! :D

Hm...I was seriously considering changing the fist and pistol, but ACS is beyond me at this point. I'll probably change them later, but at this point, I am going to concentrate on the other weapons.

Current Status:
Have the 10 GA graphics made
Flamethrower, Crossbow, Rifle, and Assault Rifle graphics found. More information in the main post.

You can use gzdoom's fraggle script to replace those 2 starting weapons.

Hmm... :) Ill have to check on that.

Update:
The 10GA is coded, and I am making (much needed) changed to the custom graphics. Next, Ill work on the rifle, and ammo boxes for the 10GA.
Ammo Objects:
10GA shell boxes (10 Shells) will replace the sets of four shells
M1 clips (8 Bullets) will replace boxes o' shells
Boxes of ammo will be replaced with 3 M1 clips and an assault rifle clip (30 Bullets)
Mini-cell packs will be fuel tanks (5 Seconds of held fire, OR a 10 shots)
Big cells will be replaced with rails (1 Small rail shot = 1 rail, 2 Rails = Medium shot, 3 Rails = Overload)
Rocket: Box O' Bolts
Box 'O Rockets: Assault Rifle Ammo Box 90 Bullets (?)
