Hexen hires textures - where to place them?

Hexen hires textures - where to place them?

Post by Deathlike2 »

I just wanted to know where to place them.. there are a set of Hexen textures (though not a lot Hexen textures worth talking about) hosted at Jfiles...

I just know that the textures should be in GZDoom folder\Textures\"Game Name"\ and that's it...

Edit: Figured out the Heretic textures earlier

Edit2: It just dawned on me that maybe Hexen textures are not supported at all at the moment...?

Edit3: Whoops, typed in the wrong folder path

Sure they are. Put them in textures/hexen. But I haven't tested that myself yet.

It doesn't appear to work...

You may want to download them for yourself to test with...

Edit: Corrected link

Those jfiles are a pain in the hoop for those of us with poor internet connections. If direct download links were provided, I could stick a download manager on it and it would resume if the connection got broken. However, the way it is just now with the scripted DL button, I seem to get to about 80-90% every time and then my connection decides to disappear for a few seconds.

[edit] Oh hoo-fuckin-ray 52% of the Heretic textures. :x [/edit]

Yea... a true download manager is really needed. The provider does suck. Resuming downloads is possible though.

I would just like to say I have finally got onto the hosting company that hosts jfiles to fix the propblem. They have moved us to a new server and that has fixed the problem ^^
