What do you mean? Completely new high-resolution textures for free use by map authors, or high-res replacements for the original textures?

Sure, always intersted in hi-res textures for a variety of purposes. You are aware that GZdoom does already support this feature and the ones originally done for JDoom can be installed pretty easily?

So... what are you planning on doing? Re releasing the JDoom ones more conveniently packaged for GZdoom? Producing your own? A combination of both? Something else entirely?

Ahhh, OK, it all makes sense now. If you look around these forums you will see that there have been a number of people asking how to get hi-res textures working with GZDoom. So, presumably, they were keen on the feature. Equally, you will see that there have been a number of people who are less keen on the idea or who have called the quality of the textures into question.

As I'm sure you suspect, it's a fairly popular option (I have a textures directory in my GZDoom folder - most of the time I disable it by renaming it but sometimes I use it) but it is by no means a unanimous "must have" thing. However, options and new things to play with are always welcome.

If you want more opinions, you're better off posting this at Zdoom or Doomworld. Not many people frequent around DRDTeam yet ;)

Although presumably most of the people with an interest in GZdoom have had a look around here at least once. :)

That why the textures have to look 99% like the original to get into the next release. (and im removing ones that dont)

But of course...

A 256 Color pallette, crusty gfx, and all that Jazz belong to WinDOOM...
...having such things in GZDOOM is just a waste of possabilites. :)
