Someone (I can't reveal his name, but he is very well known) said to me that he wasn't able to obtain the same quality for his screen than mine, visible on my screenshots.
He said to me that OpenGl mode wasn't possible with GZDoom...
Then, I asked him if he had changed the settings under the control panel of GZDoom...
The answer was no...
Then after checking it, he said to me that all the settings were, by default, setted to ZERO, so that the opengl mode wasn't efficient.
Once corrected, the OpenGl mode was there...
1) Why those settings to ZERO?!?
2) Maybe an advise to the user downloading GZDoom to go under the control panel and to change the settings if needed, for a customized opengl mode.
And now, I take it down, like it was asked to me by Paul and Nash. I do it for you, and also because I'm pleased to be peaceful.
P.S. : Message to Paul sent using the PM panel... (after a new bug telling me that it was impossible to connect the database. But, after checking my outbox, the PM was in fact sent!!!)

so how did you get these pictures? What program are you using?
I have gzdoom and it doesn't look like this
it looks just like regular doom
how do I get it into gl mode?
looks like software mode
nvidia 6800 256 meg
don't I have to run gl bsp on it though to have it show as gl?
nothing to do with opengl mode
I meant: with the fact to have it or not
check the settings of your card?
fixed it: it was in the settings
It just wasn't set up in the display options
many of the features were off by default
there is something I don't understand
In your pictures, you have the glow around lighted objects, but I don't get that
change the settings within the gzdoom panel control
light intensity and light size are the values to handle. Intensity is setted to the max and the size to 50% for me, but it's depending of both your video card and your monitor
Where are the light intensity values to be found?
etc etc...

The openGL renderer is by default disabled, that's because not everyone can use Opengl.1) Why those settings to ZERO?!?

You have to download the Doomdefs light definition file. It should be in the downloads. That enables dynamic lighting (I think)Where are the light intensity values to be found?
I also kindly ask everyone to get along well, respect each other's opinions and explain stuff in detail

what a dumb I am!!!
I totally forgot this file...
Of course Paul, he was missing the lights definition file!!!
I had myself to battle some times before understanding that I had to use it.
Very strangely, sometimes, you are blinded and you don't see the evidence, what is so obvious that it's just a shame to don't see it (or to don't understand it)...
