But I'm wondering why you get a Windows message box instead of a crash log.

However, try setting gennodes 0 in the console (to turn off automatic BSP building) and see if the WAD loads. I don't know if turning off genglnodes would cause errors ingame though.
Thanks your share, but it should no needed...Jive wrote:Using GlbspX, both of the nodes can be built: the normal nodes and the Gl nodes.
You could try it.
I changed to use Gzdoom because of the missing texture bug in Doom Legacy. THIS BUG LET ME STUCK ON MANY PWAD LEVELS...Jive wrote:It's to you to decide what please you. Both of these ports are great, each one for its own features.
Personnaly, I migrated from Legacy to Gzdoom after more than 5 years of exclusive use, not the contrary... Thus, I'm still supporting it.
I played a little bit Batman with Legacy, then with Gzdoom... Legacy can't handle all those tricks used to build the maps, Gzdoom can. Legacy is fine to play Legacy's maps.
Anyway, both of these ports may give you pleasure, and that's the most important thing.
