Hello everyone!

I'm leaving the poor Legacy Port to enjoy the GZDoom! *At last* 8)

I'm totally newbie on ZDoom/GZDoom editing ( more or less ) and i need to know onething...

Why this Door doesn't work ?

Because your movement angle is wrong. In this case, it should be 64, not 90.

0 = Moves to the East
64 = Moves to the North
128 = Moves to the West
192 = Moves to the South

All other values (0-255) are in between those, obviously.

Welcome!
Legacy died when Hurdler gone away to the Quebec because of his new work...
It should have died 2 years ago, but I maintained the man at work with my enthousiasm. I perfectly remember all the times when he was telling me that he was tired to code this port... And me asking him to don't stop, until the time of his real work for the true life!!!

Anyway, Gzdoom is THE port to use, and making maps using it is simply amazing.

did you imagine possible to use texture of ground on walls and of walls on ground ? And your lighting effect is well coded using ACS. Sweet !!!

I giveup! No more Legacy!
I need know what all you think aboult my modfication on the ArchVile.
I'll be glad for any comment and suggest.

Buddy, edit your post and delete your bad comment about the said port: no war between ports here.
And you know that I am still supporting Legacy for his very powerfull 3DFloors and the awesome FraggleScript, very easy to handle (far more than ACS). And I am a witness of the VERY hard work made by its principal coder, Hurdler (Thierry van Elsuwé, from Belgium). Thanks to him, I had years of pleasure.

I prefer to say that I was using a Porche, and now I use a Rolls Royce. Both of these cars have their own awesome good points, and their creators must be applauded.

Seems to me, that, by what you stated, he had the right to say that.

If he should have put it the way as he did, now, that is another matter. But translating verbatum from French to English can result in some peculiar way of expressing one's thoughts.

Plus, the right to a free expression is absolutely NOT existing here...
1) I made myself such comments about Legacy and Jdoom, but Graf warned me severely to stop IMMEDIATELY the 2 times!!!!
2) You are censuring me right now, telling me that I can't... bla bla bla...

Bullshit !

I better understand a lot of authors disgussed by the forums (Zdoom, Gzdoom, Doomworld) and deciding to quit such communities, where the right of a really free expression is NOT existing, or where you are the object of attacks coming from assholes harassing you without pretty anybody to help you and to stop them!!!
The last good example of such a bad event arrived on the Zdoom forum, where I was attacked VERY stupidly and wrongly by assholes and ignorants, writing no matter what. I was not the only one attacked: Bob Larkin (Sematary) from Doomwadstation was also under harsh attacks, and he was pissed off, like me right now...

- Nash : "Jive should not do..." bla bla bla...
- wildweasel: "You have no right to..." bla bla bla...
- Graf Zahl: "Stop immediately to..." bla bla bla...

Whom else?

I missed this part before...I will say this now, I had absolutely no idea that he was your friend. That doesn't change things in the least, though. If Graf wants to get after Logan for what he's written, let him. You don't have the authority. Graf does.
