When OpenGL crashes...

Post by Mike.Reiner »

When GZDoom (or anything else powered by OpenGL) crashes, the screen is stuck at the brightness that GL was using.

I am sick of restarting every time this happens.

Does anybody know a way to fix it without restarting?

Incase it matters, i'm using a GeForce 7600GT with the latest nvidia drivers.

Yes, there is a fix. I asked the exact same question a while back and there is a little util you can get. Run it and it resets your screen back to the normal settings (ie it kills the OTT brightness). I have it sitting as an easily accessible shortcut run it whenever the problem happens. I can't remember what it's called but I can check when I get home.
