As the subject says, I would like to discuss something, something related to the forums. There is a lot of useful stuff on this forum, but it's hard to find specific things you're looking for.... sorry if I'm asking for a lot but I'm not sure where else to put it, since I'm specifically asking for gzdoom related files. I'm looking for a few things to enhance my doom experience, and some of these may not even exist yet, but I just thought I'd ask. First of all, I'm curious to know if there's wads/pk3s/etc to use in game to change the music.
First of all, what's the best current download of pc doom's music? I don't want all new tracks, I just want them to sound better then midi quality. What about a SNES doom music pack? A gameboy advance music pack? 32x doom music pack? 3DO music pack?
That's enough about music, how about high res sprites? I know there's a high res texture pack and a as of the time of this posting unfinished high res item pack. Has any attempts been made to make the monster sprites and weapons you use high res? I'm not talking about 3D-ish, I mean high res sprites, smoothed out, more detailed, all of that jazz?
How about recommended mods? I know there's a awesome TC that turns gzdoom into playstation doom in the works, and there's doom - the absoulution out there. Is there any other good recommended TCs/PCs out there that are worth checking out? I like the mods that add new monsters and weapons, I don't care much for new maps unless there's a new weapon or monster, or hopefully more.
Hopefully people looking to modify their gzdoom see this topic, because I get confused with all of this stuff and what's done and what's not, and what I can find easily and can't find that easily, if it even exists at all. I wouldn't even know where to begin on google to look for all this stuff.
