Well this seems like a nice site. I think I might evacuate here if Randy gets consumed by WoW forever. What does DRD stand for anyway?

DRD stands for "Doom: Refresh Daemon" for some reason. I don't know why they chose that but whatever...

DRD used to be one of Ellmo's projects, I think. I never got briefed on the details...I'm only a member so I can work on the current projects.

DRD stands for Doom Refresh Daemon in ellmo' project. It never got finished (surprised?) and was put away and away for multitude of reasons.

During the past and confusion DRD was also granted the name of our team. Currently we dunno what it means and planning to run a poll soon to expand this shortcut. We certainly are not going to be named like some ordinary unfinished project ;)

And welcome Cutman :thumb:

I still don't understand why ellmo doesn't release the maps. I got a demo release and it looked really good. It's a shame that nobody gets to see it again. :(

His first project, Mercenaries would have vanished into obscurity as well, had someone else not uploaded it to /idgames.

Projects not good enough to be relesaed? Lazyness?
We can speculate but to know we must wait for ellmo to come back, and sadly, somehow I doubt in that :(

Well... it seems I WILL HAVE TO finish it... won't I ? I'm still having problems with various editors, like ZETH doesn't neccesarily run on my CPU, and DB is useless for continuing the work i started in different editor. But no worries, DRD project is already quite large, and it's maps are... hmm... detailed, no? And of course I encourage DRD members (in the first place), and others, to give me a hand with this. And Graf, you didn't see the half of it, 4 of five maps I sent to you long time ago, were scrapped

That's not quite true, I was in the final phase of touch-ups on this one. Hell, it alread had nine maps, I wuould have to be completely absent minded not to release it  it's just someone was fater, which I didn't like at first...

I'm always down for play testing.

As everyone... I need a mapper, who likes detailed areas without large scale battles. But not now. Everything in it's own time.
