Post by dax13 »

hello.. got a problem..ehm.. and a question

first.. before gzdoom 2.0 I never saw a black screen before starting the game.. (I mean with blackscreen.. that the screen turns to black for not even a half of a second)..

now I start the game and everything is fine.. all ok.. allrighttt...the second time i start the game.. my pc crashes/restarts itself... so what? I didnt have this problem with the older version.. and i just wanted to look if im right.. and.. ehm. yeah.. downloaded 1-0-26 ...works fine.. but the new ones..(1-2-00 / 1-2-01) .. no.. no .. no.. they crash my whole daMn system..

This report is useless. Great, all I know is that there's a computer on which GZDoom doesn't run.

Well, I can't do anything here unless I get more information.

I almost closed this myself - in fact, I did have this thread in the closed bugs forum for a brief period of time, but decided to re-open it and allow the author to redeem himself, at Graf's mercy, instead.

He wasn't "owned" by any means, he just posted a pretty poor excuse for a bug report. This is something that's very common, and my post was merely to remind him of that. If he decides to follow proper procedures, the chances of his problem ever being solved are much greater. I strongly suspect a hardware / driver issue, though, and not a problem with GZDoom itself. GZDoom runs pretty smoothly on most systems, so whatever issue he has, it's probably specific to him.

I said owned because Graf stated that this report was "useless". So i kind of thought it was funny. Sorry if i offended

Off this goes. No reply means no chance to investigate.
