I thought that this had already been reported, but I don't see the report anywhere so here goes:
The Doomsday-style system for loading textures seems to be not working.  I don't normally play like this and I only discovered it by chance.
I have a copy of my GZdoom directory with a textures sub-directory set up.  If I copy the official release version into this GZdoom directory, when I start a game, I get the hi-res textures.  If I then replace the official release version with r343 and start GZdoom, the textures are the normal low-res ones.  I have tried this both with keeping and deleting ini files between versions.
