Restricting Player Look?

In ZDoom, you can only look up to a certain angle. Is there a way to set GZDoom such that it limits its look to that same angle? Ideally something that can be forced through a text lump.

There's the maxviewpitch CVAR but this is intentionally kept a user option. You won't be able to force it.

As far as I know, something similar can be done with ACS
