Dynamic lighting and translucent 3d floors

I'm sorry if this has been asked, but why doesn't dynamic lighting show on translucent (including additive) 3d floors? I've actually found a very good way to use it recently (a complex skybox) and was very surprised and disappointed it didn't work... I found a way to do that without dynamic lighting, but looks worse. Is/will it be possible?

It doesn't look like it. On another post about dynamic lights on reflective floors I discovered that the lights will not be rendered on anything translucent or reflective. It could be something else though. Can you post your wad?
