New drivers - Window visible when exiting

Post by Enjay »

Just a thing that caught my eye. I updated my drivers to 266.58 yesterday and things look slightly different when I quit GZdoom. I normally play in full screen mode and when I quit, just before the game vanishes completely, I can see it drop into a window for a short while - ie I can see the window frame and title bar etc for a moment and then it disappears. Maybe it did this before but I never really noticed it or it happened quickly enough not to really register. However, with the new drivers it seems to hang around for longer (though still less than a second) and is therefore much more obvious.

It's not a change in GZdoom that has made this happen because old (as well as latest SVN) versions do it and the only thing that has changed is my driver. I also don't think that there is anything wrong and it's not annoying or a problem in any way. I just thought that it was interesting.

Anything different in the console log? (But that'd be hard to tell without a sample from the previous driver... :( )

Nothing obvious but I don't have an old log handy. Like I said, I'm sure it's not a problem. Everything seems to be functioning properly and I'm getting decent frame rates in games and so on. I just thought it was interesting that a driver change had this quite specific influence on the way GZdoom exited.
