When using the alternate HUD, the automap looks rather "weird" to say the least. (All the "bugs" refer to here are all automap alternative HUD bugs).
There are always two timers in the automap. I originally thought they had a purpose. One of them would show the time on the map.. and the other would be like the par map time or something. I'm not sure what was intended.
This bug occurs in Doom (all of them) and Heretic.
In Hexen (and Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel) and Strife, there are THREE timers. I'm rather mystified here.
Also, in Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel
When you start a new game... It shows that you are on Map41?
In Strife...
Perhaps it "seems" redundant.. but the map info says "Map 02: Area: 2: Town".
It would be nice to just omit the Map Part.. since you are reading the Map Name text data...

-one shows the total time in the game
-one shows the total time in the hub (only present when there is a hub)
-one shows the time in the current level
That's correct. Deathkings starts on MAP41Also, in Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel

And how should I know that the map name contains an index? I won't change this one because I like to see the map's actual name there. In Strife...
