[not a BUG] Secret message sound

I was playing a game of Heretic or Hexen (cant remember which), but when I walked into a secret room, I got the message, but didn't hear the sound. Bug, or do you have to set the sound for each game type?

The sound is only defined for Doom in SNDINFO. If you want it in the other games you have to define it yourself.

This is the same as in ZDoom. Shall I change it?

Well, its your program, but it was just something i was expecting. I guess you could, if you wanted to.

Hexen has 0 secrets I think.. so its definately Heretic.

Ironically Strife actually has its own dedicated "Secret Area" noise...

Doom never originally had a "Secret Area" noise right? So, adding this sound to Heretic (maybe Hexen as well, even if it has 0 secrets) wouldn't matter too much really.

I don't think original Doom even had a secret area message... I could be wrong, though. I know that Doom on PSP doesn't give the secret area message... It's one of the things that threw me off, expecting the noise and message to pop up, and it not happening. Meh.

It never did... that's why we're fortunate to have source ports to identify by a text message and confirm by audio that we've found a secret...
