Actor Hits Ceiling

Post by Tora »

How do I get "Actor Hits Ceiling" work on 3d floors? I can't get it to work =/
Or is it even possible?

I would highly doubt that it would work because (and i am not positive on this, so graf can correct me if i am wrong) the "ceiling" of the 3d floor is not a ceiling in the sense of how gzdoom sees it. The only thing that might work is "Actor hits fake floor" but I do not know if that only works with transfere heights. It is something you might just try. And if that does not work then it would be a good feature for graf to add.

You could use a combination of actor enters/leaves sector things and getactorz(). I did this to make an area where you push a barrel on top of a grate and when you stand on the grate too, it falls to a lower floor.

Sounds clever, if not for the chance that Valve will file lawsuit against you for doing this.

Valve did this? Damn. I though I was doing something original too.

Oh yes, Valve practically invented the rearranging of inanimate objects in first person shooters.

Edited to make wildweasel's post look n00b.

Think again. Imabayashi-sama demands respect.

[edit] On that note...it would be awesome to have a ZDoom-based Sokoban game.

I won't let this degenerate into the state of ZDoom's Offtopic forum. Therefore I will remove any insults and close any threads that devolve into a pissing contest the moment I see them. Serious or not, it was inappropriate.

Sorry, just kidding around a bit. It's your forum obviously so I'll behave from now on :p wildweasel was right in his reply so I edited my previous post so his post wasn't right, giving me the right to call him n00b. I suck like that.

Maybe, but figured wildweasel might find it funny.
