Advanced OpenGL source port fork from ZDoom, picking up where ZDoomGL left off.

GZDooM's ingame gamma setting keeps reset to default in Win7

Post by playerlin »

It was not happened on my old XP machine with the old(and dead) 8600GT, but now it keeps to happen after I had the new one with Win7 64bits and Geforce GTX 660 Ti, quite annoying...

Well, this is not a big problem, because it will go back to normal when I go to the video setting menu, then move the gamma setting slider.
But when I restart GZDooM everytime or hit Alt+Enter to switching between Fullscreen and Window mode, it'll reset again. :(

The GZDooM I'm using now is the latest devbuild one from the DRDTeam Dev Build site.
The nvidia driver is the latest release one : 331.82.
I guess it may cause by driver or something on my system but I can't found one...

Is anyone has the same problem, or have any ideas? :\

Off-topic:
I also got the same shit happens on other OpenGL games/source ports, like eduke32, but with its current latest synthesis build(r4207), it only happens when I start the game, but unlike older synthesis builds of eduke32, ingame gamma won't get reset when switching between Fullscreen and Window mode in polymost(not try polymer yet), but still, everytime I start the game then I have to change the gamma setting to the one I want...just annoying. :|

Ok, I guess I found the problem is, seems newer versions of nVidia control center changed some settings about the "desktop color setting - brightness, contrast and gamma" in their driver, I didn't want to use the default setting(by applications), and want to do manual setting(use nVidia setting). And seem it will overriding some OpenGL programs(at least like GZDooM ,DN:ME, SW Redux and eduke32) when program started and initialized.

If I change to default one(by applications), this problem won't happens it seems...

Great, I have to mess my monitor setting again... :|
