Can't run fullscreen?
I recently switched graphics cards. I now have a GeForce 6200. Everything runs great, Except GZDoom, full screen, in OpenGL mode.
It runs fine in windowed OpenGL.
It runs fine in fullscreen software mode.
I tried a few other applications in fullscreen OpenGL (Quake 2, BREED, Doom Builder) and they worked fine, too.
Is my configuration wrong somehow (how?), or is there an incompatability here?

Whoops. I got distracted while writing that and forgot some important information.
I've tried multiple resolutions; 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768.
There is no crash, the screen just goes black and eventually shuts off until I toggle back to a windowed mode.
My monitor is fairly old, and when the refresh goes out of range it usually blinks the LEDs on the front. It doesn't do that here, it seems to just shut it off (goes into powersave mode).
Version 0.9.22

Did you uninstall the previous drivers of the prior video card first? (Even if it was an older NVidia card before using this one, you should have done it just in case.)
Also, you should try to set GZDoom's resolution to the current desktop's resolution when using a fullscreen mode...

Perfect; that did it.Graf Zahl wrote:Try to set the CVAR gl_vid_refreshhz to 60. Some old monitors report incorrect information via Plug&Play and then the game is unable to select the correct refresh rate on its own.
I thought it might have something to do with refresh rate, but didn't know how to force GZDoom to anything specific.
Thanks for the help!

You may want to try settings of 70, 72 or 75, now that it works. Higher frame rates are always better so it's worth at least a try.
I can't stand 60 at all so I have locked the frame rate inside the driver to the maximum possible for each resolution. That means no more trouble by applications that insist on 60 Hz.

I can't stand 60Hz either, so I understand your decision entirely! I'm already planning on trying higher values when I have a chance.
I figured you might be choosing the refresh rate this way. The problem is that I don't think my monitors (I have two of them) report their supported resolutions/refresh at all, so I have to set Windows up to allow everything and let me choose things manually. The back of the monitors have 5-BNC connectors! I have a couple of cables to convert the VGA signal. Sure they're old, but I have no reason to replace them since they're good sized and still produce good consistent color.
