Indeed. That game is fugly! All textures are dark/brown and all sprites are digitalised photos. Bleh.

I can't use any umodified resources from any Duke Nukem game, that's one of the rules for this project. I went to the trouble of editing the graphics enough to have a bolt that pops back during the firing animations, so having to completely redo the graphics would be a bit of a pain. I'll try to tweak the graphics so they are less ugly, but as I've said, I think they're fine for the purposes of this mod. I chose them because they looked the closest to the Duke 64 SMGs without actual being them.

Edit:
If anyone can find better graphics for the SMGs for me(besides the Duke 64 SMGs, as I would like those to be used as a last resort only) or is willing to edit the current graphics if I were to hand them out, I would definitely consider replacing the existing graphics. I would gladly do it myself, however I need some suggestions on how to improve the graphics. Thanks in advance!

A suggestion: Try making the smgs darker!

Tweaked the sprites so that they aren't as bright or contrasting. They should look much better. Now just to edit the frames together. :)

The Shrinker, Crossbow, Devastator, Freezer and the Plasma Gun are all that is left. I just inserted the Shrinker graphics into the mod a short while ago.

Any updates? Oh, and you can find freezer/shrinker states/code in divine intervention 2, if that helps.

No updates. I'm currently taking a short break from this. Thanks for the info, though, but I want to create my own freezing and shrinking states. I might borrow the frozen graphics from DI2, though.

Work has started on Luke once more...sorta. You see, I've been very lazy and not wanting to work on Luke, partially because I want to start on a new project that is much more ambitious, so ambitious it might require outside help. I don't want to leave Luke to rot, though. However, I know that if I work on it at the pace I am currently, it will take much longer than I will like.

That's where an interesting proposition comes in. I'm willing to let others help me finish this mod. I will do the graphics, while the other person does the code, as they see fit, but with certain restrictions (must function very similarly to how the weapon did in Duke, unless it's one of the two Luke exclusive weapons). The other person can also modify the graphics I send them to add their own flair to them or improve upon my work. There are certain benefits to those who choose to help: one being that you will be able to beta test, and two, you will be listed in the credits and Luke will be redubbed a Doom Armory Mod.

That is not to say that I want everybody to do the rest of the work. I will definitely work along side those who help me. If there is enough interest in this, I will have a list of potential positions for things that need filling in, and anyone who wishes to work on a particular thing can. I will most likely code ammo drops, since most of it will have to be balanced and random item drops added. If nobody is interested in this, then I'll continue work on this by myself. Just asking those who might be interested in helping. :)

A Little Disclaimer: Work submitted by others will be tested, bug fixed, and then assimilated into the mod by me, so what you submit might not be exactly as it was once added.

Well, i'm not currently making anything, and i've really got nothing better to do, so if you want, you can send the mod my way (via email, no less) with some requests as to what you'd like me to do, and i'll do em, and then some.

Hehe, awesome. :D

Also, this gives me something to mod, so I just wanted to say that. :P

So, tell when sent. I'll be ready to do whatever you ask. :D
